Is Keyword Elite The Key To Success

A new internet marketing website has posted a review on the very popular keyword research tool “Keyword Elite.” The article goes into the different pros and cons of the program, and continues with a final analysis. At first the article seemed negative, but then the author warmed up to the product. Here is a snippet:

When I first got into internet marketing, I found a TON of products with all these ridiculous claims about how much money I could make if I just bought their program (”$300 a day!!!”) or subscribed to their service. I was like you and I fell for their empty promises, and you know what I wound up with? A lighter wallet and a defeated attitude. So you can imagine my lack of enthusiasm when a friend of mine in the business recommended Keyword Elite to me. Let me tell you, my opinion was less than stellar.

The first thing that turned me off to Keyword Elite, and probably one of the biggest gripes I have with it is the price. Weighing in at a whopping $176, I told my friend that there was NO way that I’m paying that much for a program that can’t possibly be as good as it claims to be. I’ve already wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars on other programs and services that have claimed the same things that Keyword Elite does, and I didn’t feel like getting suckered in yet again.

Fellow internet marketer, Let’s get something dead straight before we start.

I hate Keyword tools . I hate them more than you do, and I always have.

Really, I do. And if you give me a few seconds I will tell you why. But first, let’s start with how I got here, and why I’m writing this…

It must have been about three weeks ago now, I was browsing the web when I got an e-mail from a friend raving about this new piece of keyword software called “Keyword Elite”, by Brad Callen.

Now, my friend is actually someone whose opinion I trust, which is the only reason I clicked on the link in the first place. And here I am…

“But why do I hate those damn keyword tools with a manic passion…”

Well, let me explain. I am an internet marketer, and I spend close to $400 a day on Google Adwords (giving me a return of about $2000 on average). In short, I know what I am doing (in fact, if you use Adwords, there is a good chance you already own my guide, but that’s another story).

But, I have never been a big fan of keyword research tools - for me, having a keyword list 20,000 long has never conferred much of an advantage on the marketer. What it does do, though, is sound good on a sales letter… and lots of newbies see “build a list of 20,000 keywords”, and think “wow! What a big number, here are my credit card details”.

Then, the same guys who bought the keyword tool realize that a big list of keywords doesn’t mean anything on its own - only after wasting their cash on Adwords… and then, the next tool comes out and the cycle repeats itself…

Great for the guys who made the software - pretty crappy for the poor newbie who bought it.

So, you can imagine my thoughts when I got my friend’s e-mail recommending Keyword Elite. As I say, it was only because he was normally spot-on that I even clicked away.

When I reached the Keyword Elite website, I was actually pretty impressed with the sales copy, and even more impressed with some of the features that this appears to have - spy on your competitors on Adwords, nice suggestion features…

But, again, I have to be honest with you…,

At this point, I still thought to myself, “nice copy, lots of features, this will convert well… but yet again, it just isn’t going to be too practical for building keywords… so forget it”. And that was that; I left the site… but a few days later my friend e-mailed me, letting me know he had used KE to setup a few affiliate promotions on Adwords and was about $200 up. He also said that I needed to drop what I was doing and get the software. So, I spent the excess in my Paypal account and half-heartedly purchased my copy of Keyword Elite.

Just so you know, I only purchased because… well, money isn’t too much of an issue for me, and I was about to file it away on my to-do list when my friend started up again - in fact he pestered the hell out of me to get using the tool once I had it!

So, I decided to give him a chance, and make full use of Keyword Elite… so I sat down for an hour to play around with the software…

But an hour wasn’t enough…

In the end, it took me two days to master the software - two full days to ignore the noise and focus on the signal, and really understand what works with Keyword Elite and what doesn’t. Because, believe me this is a bit of a beast.

Just so you don’t think I am exaggerating the scale of Keyword Elite, here are some of the featues of Keyword Elite. Remember, each one is practically a separate piece of software in itself:

1. Create a keyword List - enter a keyword or keyphrase and Keyword Elite will throw up as many related keywords as you want from half a dozen sources - in fact, this one project can throw up 10,000 keywords in one go. Deadly in the right hands, completely useless in the wrong ones.

2. Analyze Pay Per Click listings - enter one or more keywords, and KE will tell you how much your competitors are paying per click, how many ads are running, which ads are showing, how profitable the terms are, and various other factors… across five search engines (including Google and Yahoo of course). Exceptionally powerful for certain purposes (misleading for others)

3. Select a keyword list - KE also comes pre-loaded with tens of thousands of keyword lists; just enter one of your keyword terms, and watch KE pull up a pre-made, plug-in-and-profit list

4. Analyze Keyword Competition - a bonus project which quickly shows you how hard it is going to be to rank for a specific term in the search engines. Not exhaustive, but - if you get traffic from the search engines - very helpful.

5. Spy on Adwords Competition - KE also allows you to spy on your Adwords competitors; if one guy is running an ad, day in, day out… then they are making money from it. Sneaky little feature that makes sure you don’t waste money on terms that have high turnover. But this one should be used selectively…

As you can see, KE is practically monstrous. In fact, each of the above features is practically a program in itself.

And, by the time I got my head around it, I needed a rest. But, I quickly focused in on the features that would work for me, and within a few days I started taking KE to my existing campaigns, and using it to generate new ones…

Keyword Elite Review

As you may or may not know, there are a whole lot of keyword research tools on the market today. As with any other market that has a lot of players, some of them are good and some of them are not so good (even bad!). In 2006, a fairly well known Internet Marketer named Brad Callen put forth yet another keyword research tool, promising to blow away the competition. Following in the footsteps of his wildly successful SEO Elite, Brad released Keyword Elite in March.

So does Keyword Elite deliver? Does it really “blow away the competition”? I’m not one for hype, so admittedly I’m hesitant to use phrases like that. And I won’t here. But I’ll just say that, in summary, Keyword Elite is one of the top if not the number one keyword research tool on the market today. Why do I say that? Keep on reading.

First of all, Keyword Elite is broad in scope. You can do so many things with it. It will be difficult for me to list every feature I like, but I want to cover what I think are the most important features of this program. First of all, Keyword Elite does one thing that no other keyword research tool does, and it does it well. Keyword Elite actually finds related words for you when you’re building a keyword list. And I don’t mean vertically related words but horizontally related. Here’s what I mean:

If you enter “turkey” as your base word, most keyword tools will output words like “turkey soup” or “butterball turkey”. But if you enter “turkey” as your base word with Keyword Elite, you’re bound to not only get “turkey soup”, but also “thanksgiving” and “wiseguy”. You see, in addition to the traditional vertical approach, Keyword Elite also attempts to gather a keyword list by trying to guess the meaning of the word (the horizontal approach). This is huge, and will increase the size of your keyword lists immensely! Of course this latent semantic technology isn’t perfect, but as the search engines also start to employ this more and more, it helps to be using a keyword tool ahead of the curve.

I also can’t go much longer without talking about the miracle advantages Keyword Elite has for an AdWords advertiser. You can easily interface with AdWords from within the Keyword Elite interface itself, dumping hundreds of keywords in an ad group with the click of a button. Are you serious? This tool is going to save AdWords advertisers a whole lot of time. A ton of time. Keyword Elite also allows you to conduct a search against Google for a given keyword, and it will output the CPC (cost per click) averages for that keyword, as well as display the number of campaigns Google currently has running for that keyword! Hello! Can you say market intelligence?

The other awesome feature for AdWords advertisers is the fifth module to the program, which is all about spying on other advertisers. Sounds good, doesn’t it? It is. The idea here is that you take your massive keyword list (which you built using the other Keyword Elite modules!), load it into module 5, tell the program which domain you want to spy on, and let it churn. And then you wait. When it’s done, you’ll have a smaller subset list of the keywords that advertisers of that domain are actually bidding on. You can even schedule this feature to run every day, and then go back and compare the results over a period of several weeks. If the same advertisers keep showing up day after day and week after week, then you can be sure their ad is bringing in the money. This is just an awesome feature that is really giving AdWords advertisers an almost unfair advantage. Your competitors are going to need a miracle. Seriously.

There are loads of other features in this mammoth tool which I’m not going to get to here, but the bottom line is that if you want a professional keyword research tool and don’t feel like spending money continually on other subscription based tools, stop wasting time and go buy Keyword Elite now. You won’t regret it.

You can use those information for finding how hot of your keywords, how many competitors you have for your keywords and you will find how to improve your performance and beat your competitors.

(5) Spy on Adwords Competition - This is a very nice function! Keyword Elite allows you to input your adwords competitors information such as your competitors’ URL, and a set of keyword. When those information are input, this software will search & find those your competitors’ sites, which are advertising in Google search engine, and it will retreive all advertising information to you for analyze. That’s great! You will know which keywords are profitable from your competitors.

As my Keyword Elite review, I would recommend you who are promoting your products & services through Adwords & AdSense to have this Keyword Elite tool for generating a huge of keywords and find a niche keywords easily. It saves a ton of your time!

However, I strongly believe that the best keyword tool is your brain. This software is a great keyword tool for helping you to save your time consuming.

Keyword Elite Review - It’s All About The Updates!

The amount of keyword analysis software out there is just unbelievable. When I first planned on getting a keyword software for my business, I was overwhelmed to say the least. Couldn’t there be an all-in-one solution that united all the features of the most popular options? Well, I decided to wait for Keyword Elite, because I a very happy owner of SEO Elite myself. I knew that if Keyword Elite turned out to be as half as good as SEO Elite I would have gotten the best deal period. And I did!

For me, Keyword Elite is not a “static” software. What I mean is that Keyword Elite keeps improving and updating with new features. The cool thing is that the programmers are ears-open when it comes to listening to Keyword Elite customers. The updates are actually born out of people who really use the software. So if there is any other keyword software that has a really neat feature, you can beat that Keyword Elite has it or is going to have it shortly. That was the deciding point for me. If I was going to purchase a keyword software to help me with my business I wasn’t going to settle for an incomplete package. I treat my business like my child and refuse to settle fro trash.

At the beginning you may have heard that Keyword Elite had a lot of bugs and that it was very unstable. And yes, I agree. However, as any ongoing and evolving project, Keyword Elite has turned into one ferocious monster. Thanks to their feedback system and private user forums, Keyword Elite has become, in my opinion, the all-in-one solution for keyword research I deeply desired.

Using Keyword Elite For Building a Massive Keyword List

When I first started doing keyword research for building niche keyword lists, I turned to Overture. With Overture, I could freely type in a keyword and it would generate a list of up to 100 keywords that contained the one I typed in. The problem occured when I wanted to build a list of thousands.

After reading dozens of internet marketing books, I realized that the fee-based Wordtracker was the most reliable and popular one. I’ve used it many times and thought it was the best keyword research tool. I could type in a primary keyword, and then a bunch of related keywords could be displayed. I could then dig deeper into each keyword to build a larger list of keywords. After using Overture and Wordtracker for some time, there were still some features left to be desired:

* Automatic keyword digging
* More keyword data sources
* Automatic KEI calculations

AUTOMATIC KEYWORD DIGGING

With this Keyword Elite feature, I could just type in a primary keyword and set a limit to how many keywords I wanted. Overture doesn’t have any automatic digging feature. If I wanted to display more keywords related to one on the list of results, I would have to click on the text link to query more results. With Wordtracker, it was pretty much the same. There was a dig icon that I would have to click on. It would then query that keyword as it did with the primary.

Keyword Elite has this feature built in. It prompts the user to type in a keyword and the amount of results that you want to have. You could select 100 to 10,000 keywords. So based on you primary keyword, it will automatically dig into the primary keyword and then into it’s results. This is a great time saving feature. You could enter and submit the initial parameters, take a lunch break, and then come back with thousands of keywords on your PC.

MORE KEYWORD DATA SOURCES

With more data sources, the keyword tool would be more accurate. You would have a larger data sample representing a larger amount of keywords that people actually searched for. Since Overture’s keyword suggestion tool is a product of Yahoo Search Marketing, it’s results are pretty restricted. With Wordtracker, it’s data only comes from meta-search engines. So again, the results are limited.

With Keyword Elite, you have a plethora of databases and retrieval options. The main options are Overture, Google’s keyword suggestion tool, and Teoma’s database (Ask.com).
